Arbitral Tribunal for Private Customer
The Arbitral Tribunal for Private Customer (Arbitral Tribunal), which was established under our Association, has entered into service as per The Regulation on the Principles And Procedures Regarding The Arbitral Tribunal for Private Customer of Payment And Electronic Money Institutions Association of Türkiye (the “Regulation”)
The purpose of the Arbitral Tribunal is to resolve the disputes arising from the services provided under the Law numbered 6493 between payment institutions which are members of our Association and electronic Money institutions and their private customers, and in this regard, only the application of real person who benefits from the services of payment and electronic institutions that are member of our Association are evaluated. The applications that are arising from transactions with respect to non-individual commercial activities of real persons and the applications filed by legal entities are not accepted.
The private customers shall apply in written form to the relevant payment or electronic money institution, which is also one of the members of our Association regarding the dispute within 2 years at the latest, following the date on which the transaction or the action subject to dispute was made or taken, prior to referring the matter to the Arbitral Tribunal. In cases where the relevant payment or electronic money institution does not serve any reply to the application within the required period, which is 20 days, the relevant member may file an application to the Arbitral Tribunal once the relevant 20-day period is expired as of the date of the application thereof. Whereas, if the relevant member is not satisfied with the reply of the relevant payment or electronic money institution, he/she is entitled to refer the dispute to the Arbitral Tribunal within 60 days as of the date on which the relevant payment or electronic money institution serves a reply by filling up the Application Form.

The Application Form and the Brochure is free of charge and the applications filed by coming to our Association in person are not accepted.
